I’m proud to be an Islander; here’s the reason why: I’m free as the wind and the waves that wash the sand. There’s no place I would rather be than here in Newfoundland. Diddle dee ah da, Diddle dee ahhh da I spent some time in New York state and nearly lost my mind. That city life’s too fast for me nobody has a time. Cement and steel and flashing lights were all that I could see. It may be good for New York state but it’s no bloody good for me. I’m a Newfoundlander born and bred and I’ll be one till I die.
