Secrets Of Nature - Water Folk (1931)

Wardour Films Ltd present a British Instructional Films production. Title reads: “Secrets of Nature“ - “Water Folk“. Young boy lying in grass on a river bank fishes with a friend. Holds up a jam jar and looks at the tiny creatures inside the water. He gets his magnifying glass out and we see water fleas under a microscope. We see the water flea moving and eating. Cyclops water flea with one eye in the middle of its forehead. We see the difference between a male and female Cyclops water flea. The crystalline water flea. Distant cousin of crabs and lobsters. Long tailed water flea. All the fleas are translucent and their internal organs can be seen. Group of water fleas move around. Other creatures attach themselves to the fleas - especially to their feelers. Fleas eating. We see the flea digest its dinner. The heart is pointed out and seen in extreme microscopic C/U.
