Thirteenth album for the band of Warren Haynes, formed in 1994. A River, was born simultaneously with the previous work Heavy Load Blues, which earned a nomination for a Grammy and hosts Billy Gibbons, the guitarist of ZZTop, Billy BobThornton, excellent actor but also a great fan of music, Ivan Neville and Ruthie Foster. The album feeds on blues rock but not only, as “The Mule“ are capable of playing any genre. In an hour and sixteen minutes Haynes dominates with his guitar and goes from gospel, to progressive, from reggae to blues, with incredible agility and skill. An amazing record.
