Man donates his body to be mummified

The body of a Devon man has been mummified in a process documented by England’s Channel 4 to be aired later this month. Terminally ill former taxi driver Alan Billis decided last year to donate his body to science. Specifically, he gave his body to a project aimed at testing a theory on how ancient Egyptians were mummified. Researchers were able to fully mummify the body in four months.
