NEVER TOO SMALL: Berlin Designer Open Plan Micro Apartment - 36sqm/388sqft

To subscribe to our newsletter head to Located in the popular and creative residential area of Friedrichshain in Berlin, Spanish architect Paola Bagna transformed this micro apartment into an open plan, contemporary space with a series of custom furniture pieces, made from the same material but finished in different colors, creating a common thread throughout. The standout is the generously sized all black L-shaped kitchen, which sits in stark contrast to the minimalist living space containing only three bespoke multifunctional furniture pieces; a coffee table, a chair come bookshelf and daybed sofa that doubles as a guest bed. Curtains were creatively used to make the closest and sleeping area appear hidden within the walls, blending seamlessly into the rest of the open plan space. A custom made platform bed raised to just below the window, creates space for additional storage underneath the bed and within the modular pull out steps. #smallapartment #architecture
