Летний сад — самый старый сад Санкт-Петербурга, заложенный на берегу Невы по указу Петра I на месте усадьбы шведского майора Конау. План парка был составлен самим императором и выдержан в стиле регулярного парка с прямыми аллеями и кустарниками различной формы. Первоначально в саду высаживались только однолетние цветы — «летники», за что сад и получил своё название. В 1706 году в Летнем саду начали обустраивать первые в России фонтаны. Воду для фонтанов стали брать из Безымянного Ерика, впоследствии получившего современное название — Фонтанка. С 1721 года Летний сад стал царской резиденцией, с конца 1750-х здесь разрешались прогулки прилично одетых посетителей. Летний сад стал любимым местом отдыха многих известных людей — В.А. Жуковского, А.С. Пушкина, П.И. Чайковского, И.А. Гончарова, М.П. Мусоргского, И.А. Крылова, В.В. Маяковского, А.А. Ахматовой, Т.Г. Шевченко и др. 27 мая 2012 года Летний сад был открыт после комплексной реконструкции. ———- Hi!
