Camel Market in Daraw, Egypt

This is the big camel market in Daraw, Egypt. It is just north of Aswan. the camels arrive by caravans from Sudan and are transported by anything you can think of from there on through to upper Egypt. Unfortunately they aren’t treated that well. To prevent them from running away, they tie one leg up. I shot this on the 22 of march 2009.
