This video was filmed, edited, and published before the disheartening and awful announcement that Ricky Potts’ disability was removed from the script of Ride the Cyclone for any future performances. Like many, I am incredibly disappointed at the writers for erasing disability representation, which is so important in theater and all pieces of media. I debated on not even posting this video because of it; however the discussion about disability representation is so important and we as viewers need to continue having these valuable conversations about creating a safe space for everyone in theater by having representation and accessibility, and removing bigotry and harmful stereotypes. I decided to post this video to spread a message I discussed in it; Hate, ignorance, and bigotry have absolutely NO place in theater and in the whole entire world. Continu
