We had some very cold weather (-40 C), and her mop top dipped into the water dish when she was getting a drink and froze up. It was very heavy and flopped over her eyes so she couldn’t see. As a result, she huddled up in the corner underneath the roost where she also got pooped on by her inconsiderate flock mates. I brought her in to thaw her out and give her a bath... and discovered a wet polish chicken truly is a sight to behold! Fran was bathed, burritoed in a towel, and blow dried. She got to sleep indoors overnight with a treat of vitamin water and scrambled eggs to perk her up.
