Israel’s military has confirmed its troops have begun what it calls a “limited, localised and targeted“ ground operation in southern Lebanon. It came as rescue teams in the village of Ain El Delb, on the outskirts of Sidon, searched desperately for survivors after Israeli airstrikes levelled two residential blocks.
