AMC Online | Peace Corps/Social Entrepreneurship talk with Lisa Curtis
While serving in the Peace Corps in Niger, West Africa, Lisa Curtis dreamed of a business that would help Americans experience the power of superfoods while empowering female farmers around the world. As a volunteer in her village’s health center, she gained an understanding of nutritional challenges faced in West African villages and started Kuli Kuli to help address those challenges. Prior to starting her own company, Lisa served as a Communications Director, and at an impact investment firm in India. Lisa has been recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 leader, a Udall Scholar and a “dedicated humanitarian” by the Muhammad Ali Center.
