Julia Hartley Brewer fumes after lesbians removed from Pride over trans row

Police told a lesbian campaign group to leave a gay Pride march after members clashed with transgender rights activists. Members of GetTheLOutUK had joined the Pride Cymru event in the Welsh capital on Saturday, during which they displayed banners reading “transactivism erases lesbians” and “lesbians don’t like penises”. Members of the group were asked to leave by police after one of them and a transgender rights activist started shouting at each other. Organisers of the march said that GetTheLOutUK was not officially registered to attend.
