The savoir-faire of the Ollier Atelier for the Dior Autumn-Winter 2019-2020 Haute Couture collection

For the Autumn-Winter 2019-2020 Haute Couture show, Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri worked closely with the Atelier Jean Pierre Ollier to create two pieces of art — looks 9 and 11 — using two different techniques. The first involved braiding leather strips on an organza base into a motif; the second is a shiny jacquard recalling 18th century Venetian fabrics and particularly the work of the heritage fabric maker Rubelli.
