In this video Carlo Domeniconi and his student Julia Schüler work on the well-known classical guitar piece “Koyunbaba“. Koyunababa describes not only a region in Turkey with beautiful but very rough nature but also a sheppard (“Koyun“ = “sheep“, “Baba“ = “father“) and a mystical and legendary figure. This first video of five focuses on the story behind Koyunbaba and Carlo Domeniconi’s impressions when this piece came to him as an improvisation.
