CHIANG KAI SHEK COLLAOBRATED WITH JAPAN DURING WORLD WAR 2 1. from 1940 to 1945, Chiang kai shek ordered up to 500,000 troops to defect to the Japanese collaborationist army. In fact up to 62% of the puppet army were troops that were ORDERED by CHIANG KAI SHEK to defect!!!!! Chiang did this because he was not fully committed to fighting japan and he wanted to preserve his troops (Japanese did not send collaborators to fight against KMT in front line and only perform auxiliary roles against CCP) He wanted the Japanese feed and supply his troops for him and to sit out the war to fight the civil war!!!
