ITALY: 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF BENITO MUSSOLINI’S EXECUTION

(28 Apr 1995) Italian/Eng/Nat Italian fascists mourned Friday the 50th anniversary of the execution of the war-time Italian dictator, Benito Mussolini, and his mistress, Clara Petacci. The two were shot by Italian partisans in 1945 as they tried to flee the country.
