Chechnya - Residents Allowed Back Into Samishki

T/I: 10:56:56 GS 10:38:28 The Chechen village of Samashki was left in ruins after a 10 day sustained bombardment by Russian troops that ended on March 26. The first pictures from the village, taken on Friday (29/3) by a Chechen refugee returning home, show that there were very few houses left intact. Russian troops are still blocking visits to the village by the International Red Cross and the media. They were allowing access only to residents of Samashki - who wanted to salvage their belongings
