It introduced a whole generation to mutants on screen and has continued to influence those who have gone on to work within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Disney Day announcement that it’s set to make its return is a huge deal for comic fans and audiences alike. X-Men: The Animated Series featured some of the most famous characters from Marvel Comics including Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Professor Xavier, Storm, and Beast in leading roles. It also showcased lesser-known heroes that have become fan favorites such as Jubilee, Gambit, and Rogue, who were only just introduced in the comics.
