Locals in Japan are now struggling for stocking up on supplies as most of the convenience stores and supermarkets are closed after the devastating earthquake on New Year’s Day. Several residents were seen queued outside supermarkets. More than 97,000 people ordered to evacuate their homes. Around 33,000 households remained without power in Ishikawa prefecture. The Japan earthquake toll nears 50 and is expected to increase.
