Dell Made an Impressive RTX 4090: Relatively Small, Large Flow-Through, & Good Cooling

Sponsor: Get 10% off Squarespace purchases () Dell’s RTX 4090 comes in the Alienware R15 (and we’ll soon be looking at the Alienware R16!) and uses a simple, black-and-plastic design with a large heatsink and huge flow-through area. We harvested the RTX 4090 card from the Alienware PC we reviewed previously, mostly because we wanted to check if the PCB is a reference design (there are a few this generation) so that we could install a water block on it. The good news is that it did fit our Alphacool block -- but before we removed the heatsink, we tested the thermals and noise of the Dell RTX 4090. We also look at the build quality and assembly quality in this video, and overall, we were impressed with both.
