Полиция США арестовала в отделении полиции своего коллегу за алкогольное состояние на рабочем месте

Officer Arrested by Fellow Cops at Police Station after Suspected Intoxication San Antonio, Texas — On July 31, 2025, around 6 a.m., Officer Paul Fencik attended roll call at the San Antonio Police Department South Patrol Substation. Supervisors present, a sergeant and a lieutenant, noticed what they described as the odor of alcohol coming from him. As part of the administrative process for suspected intoxication, the supervisors began looking into the situation further. Before they could complete it, Fencik drove his assigned patrol vehicle out of the substation parking lot. The lieutenant immediately called Fencik back to the station. He complied and returned to the substation. At that point, a traffic officer was brought in to conduct a field sobriety assessment. The evaluation led to Fencik being placed under arrest after he reportedly registered a blood alcohol concentration above , which is more than twice the legal limit and qualifies as a Class A misdemeanor DWI. When officers searched his patrol car, they found an open beer container in the center console and a cooler full of unopened beer. Fencik, an 18-year veteran of the department, was booked into Bexar County Jail on charges of Drive While Intoxicated while on duty. He has since been placed on administrative duty, and both a criminal case and an internal investigation are underway. Chief William McManus condemned the incident, calling it a violation of public trust, and requested the case be expedited to consider termination proceedings. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
