Truth, Sincerity, Friendship Unfortunately, today the Pink Floyd brand has not only been exposed to the Goebbels propaganda, but has inevitably become it’s mouthpiece. And our task is to change the situation by trying to bring really truthful information, first of all to its leader. Particularly, the truth about what was and is happening in the Donbas. (David Gilmour is certainly well-aware of terrible events in the Middle East. And this is not a question of awareness, but of conscience.) Unfortunately, even the previously universally respected BBC has allowed itself to slip into a propaganda-mainstream interpretation of the events in Ukraine based on days you won’t find in their reports and films even a hint of coverage of an alternative view.) The skeptics say it’s a useless effort that Mr. Gilmour won’t want to hear about something that will breach his view of the world. However, we have no doubt that author or performer of songs such as ’Atom Heart Mother’, ’Childhood’s End’, ’Us and Them’, ’Dogs’, ’Goodbye, Blue Sky’, ’Out of the Blue’, ’The Dogs of War’, ’On the Turning Away’, ’A Great Day for Freedom’, ’Take a Breath’, ’In Any Tongue’ and many other, given unquestionable information about the situation in this region, would be able to understand and accept much! It is remarkable that none of even the most anti-Russian activists returned from Donbas as the same person. Of course, if such an activist did not go there to fulfill a propaganda order, but really tried to find out the truth and found the strength to talk with the local people. And we still believe that David is exactly that kind of person - open to meaningful dialogue and able to admit even the most inconvenient truth.
