During the Blitz in WWII, the Houses of Parliament were damaged by air raids on fourteen different occasions.
From late June 1941 until October 1950, the Commons and Lords met
at Church House in Westminster.
In this film, Mr Clement Attlee lays the foundation stone of the rebuilt
House of Commons in 1948.
