Extending the list of EU crimes to hate speech

In the context of months of cynical attempts by establishment figures across the West to brand Palestine solidarity and criticism of Israel’s horrific crimes as antisemitic hate, the EU is currently moving forward with plans to criminalise hate speech. It has all the hallmarks of yet another clumsy and counterproductive neoliberal response to a social problem. Do you trust Ursula von der Leyen #FrauGenocide Commission to define hate speech? I don’t!
