Have you had the Key ID Error appear on your Nissan dashboard?
When you do, you then know you have to hold the key fob up to the start stop button to register before your vehicle will start.
It’s most likely the battery needs replaced. If you change the battery and it solves the error, nice one. However, if it hasn’t, the terminals on the circuit board that touch the battery have probably been pushed flat when pressing the key fob.
It’s a simple fix, but please be gentle when splitting/ cracking, open the fob, don’t push the screwdriver tip in to far. Slow and steady wins the race.
Additionally, If you have just replaced the battey a few months back, but are now starting to get the key id error, This is probably from pressing the fob a little too hard, they are very flimsy little fekers.
So, open the fob, spin the battery around slightly, gently lift up the connectors so they get better contact with the battery.
Hope this helps.
