Europe is in shock! Monstrous rains flooded Slovenia!

Europe continues to suffer from severe weather. On August 4, heavy rains hit Slovenia. In these some regions, between 100 and 200 liters of rain per square meter fell. This is equal to the monthly amount of precipitation. Several rivers burst their banks. The State Meteorological Service has declared a red alert level. The massive rainfall caused flash floods and landslides. Houses, roads and bridges were damaged or destroyed. Hundreds of people were evacuated. The capital Ljubljana also suffered from flooding. Heavy rains also flooded settlements in southern Austria. The authorities urged people to stay away from the rivers and follow the instructions of the civil protection service.
