Al Perkins - It’s Good Enough (Jive)

Cool midtempo r&b penned by Chicago legend Al Perkins along with Burgess Gardner. It sounds similar to the main side of this 45, “I feel all right“ but with the tempo slowed a bit. It was released on the local Charles Colbert’s Jive label back in 1962, being one of his first releases (if not the first!). There is another 45 on Jive. Perkins would release on other Chicago labels, such as Salem and mainly USA, where he would have seven 45s. In the late 60s he signed with Atco and had releases on other labels such as Buddah. Don’t miss out the other side, the aforementioned r&b bomb “I feel all right“ listenable as well in my channel!
