Behind the Scenes: Burmese Vine Snake Feeding | California Academy of Sciences

Academy biologist Brian provides a behind the scenes look at feeding the Burmese vine snakes (Ahaetulla fronticincta). These snakes are arboreal (tree-dwelling) and eat fish, which is a rare combination. To date, Steinhart Aquarium at the California Academy of Sciences is the only aquarium in the world to have bred this species and is one of the only places you can see them on exhibit. Visitors to the Academy can find the snakes in the Water Planet exhibit. For more information about the California Academ
