Weighing in at only 1 ounce (with 6.5 feet of paracord included) the blade thickness maxes out at just .095” and tapers to ” at the edge. I took it to the field yesterday to do some slicing and whittling. I was impressed with the carving abilities this little guy had. With it horizontally across my belt in scout carry mode, I barely noticed its presence along my hike. A 3-inch blade makes the Mini Speedgoat legal for open carry in most U.S. cities (as always, check with your local laws). The cryogenically-treated 52100 high carbon ball-bearing blade steel which makes for easy re-sharpening in the field and toughness. The size and lightweight makes it a great bird and trout knife. The blade is 100% made in the USA, hand built and finished in Montana.
