combat use of FPV kamikaze drones by units of the Airborne Forces

combat use of FPV kamikaze drones by units of the Airborne Forces The Russian Ministry of Defense publishes footage of combat use of FPV kamikaze drones by units of the Tula paratroopers in the Artemovsk area. During a special military operation, while conducting active defense in the Artemovsk direction, reconnaissance units and unmanned aircraft (UAV) units of the Tula Guards Airborne Forces actively use copter-type FPV drones. The UAV crew of the Tula reconnaissance paratroopers advances to a given area, from where it prepares and launches a kamikaze drone. The calculation includes the operator of the FPV drone, who controls it and, using VR glasses, determines the target for destruction, as well as his assistant, who directly launches the kamikaze drone. In addition, the assistant tracks the direction of the drone’s flight, orients the operator, corrects his work and records the hit of the target. Convenient spatial orientation for the operator and the ability to easily navigate a route or pursue a moving target at speeds of up to 170 km/h are a great advantage when performing combat missions. Therefore, they are difficult to detect and intercept, they are highly maneuverable and give the maximum level of control to the operator. This allows them to be used with maximum efficiency to destroy moving targets, as well as to destroy manpower in dugouts and special shelters. This time, the operator noticed several Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel firing small arms at a strong point and sent an FPV drone to destroy them. The assistant skillfully corrected the operator’s approach to the target and recorded the FPV drone hitting the Ukrainian nationalists. The second FPV drone destroyed another group of Ukrainian Armed Forces moving along the trench of the strong point. Источник: Military Wave
