A prom amid the rubble of the school

Ten high school students danced amid the ruins of their school. Their alma mater was recently destroyed. About a third of the school’s students gathered to mark their graduation, the rest of them left Kharkiv. “It was a nightmare – especially when I saw how my school was destroyed; I was looking at it for the whole day. Today is our prom, and I’m happy to have graduated,” - one of the graduates, Hlib, says. Olena Mosolova has been teaching Geography at this school for 17 years. Her daughter is graduating this year. “This isn’t how we imagined a prom for our children, but it happened the way it did, and we want to throw at least a small party for our kids,” says Olena.
