Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse Live via Slooh’s Online Telescope

Join us on Sunday, May 15, at 9:30 PM EDT to watch the Total Lunar Eclipse as the Moon slips into Earth’s shadow, and we watch the spectacular “Blood Moon“ live. Other timezones: 6:30 PM PDT ¦ 01:30UTC ¦ 7 AM IST May’s Full Flower Moon will start the evening as white as a lily. But, over a few hours, it will bloom into a stunning red rose as it falls deep into Earth’s shadow during a total lunar eclipse. This graceful transition will take several hours as we watch our familiar Full Moon take on a ghostly character. Some call these total lunar eclipses “Blood Moons,“ but they are usually far more subtle - shades of pink, peach, and, if we’re lucky, reds enveloping Earth’s nearest celestial neighbor. The Online Telescope’s experts will be on hand to explain this spectacular sight from the start of the penumbral phase, through the partial, and then the beautiful total phase that lasts for 1-hour and 19-minutes.
