Around 5,000 protesters, according to the police, took to the streets of Brussels on Sunday to protest anti-Covid regulations and the vaccination pass. Demonstrators marched against COVID-19 restrictions from Gare du Nord railway station, through the European quarter to the Cinquantenaire Park. Scuffles broke out towards the end of the rally and 30 people were arrested, Brussels police said. The march was organised by several groups critical of the vaccines against COVID-19. Belgian Health Minister Frank Vandenbroucke called for a parliamentary debate on tighter rules as COVID-19 cases surge, but the government has opted to refrain from introducing new restrictive measures this past week.
