Ukraine, Lviv - The Charming City

LVIV ( Львів, Lwow) is a city in western Ukraine. Population is 760 thousand people, 88% are Ukrainians, 9% Russians, 1% Poles. Lviv was founded in 1256 by King Danylo Halytskyi and named in honour of his son, Lev (Lion). The historical heart of Lviv with its old buildings and cobblestone roads has survived World War II and ensuing Soviet presence largely unscathed.
