LVIV ( Львів, Lwow) is a city in western Ukraine. Population is 760 thousand people, 88% are Ukrainians, 9% Russians, 1% Poles. Lviv was founded in 1256 by King Danylo Halytskyi and named in honour of his son, Lev (Lion).
