Faun Dation from St. Petersburg and now living in Eisenach has been active as a DJ for 20 years. His work as a producer, on the other hand, is still quite rare but yet he already has a remix for DC Breaks on RAM and releases on Neuropunk and Ozriderz to show. With the “Highly Addictive” EP he makes his debut for us and should delight every Neuro head with it. The title track already goes full throttle and peaks almost persistently beyond the intro and breakdown. The sequel follows with “42 Diseases”, because as we all know, addiction takes its toll. Once you’ve gotten over that, it goes unbridled into “Rampant”, with similarly oppressive sounds, but a concretely coarser kick drum-snare symbiosis. The story ends with “Paradise” and anyone who expects forgiving gentleness here is greatly mistaken. Because here, too, the synths saw tide-like menacingly at the tree of life.
