ayyyy i’m back at it with another animatic, animation, lyricstuck, whatever you want to call it - this time with nami! woo! of my four one piece videos, this one has been the most work BY FAR, with a whopping... 77 frames, plus 10 unique frames of animation for the beginning. i ANIMATED for this sucker, yall. is it GOOD animation? no! but i sure did it. like elephant king, i found this song in 2013 and have associated it with nami for many, many years. even if the lyrics don’t always fit quite right, or the original meaning of the song doesn’t align, the SPIRIT of the song does - the dark words with the intensely upbeat, energetic sound. so of course as i was planning this out i found myself doing an “arlong park speedrun“ (as i put it in my notes) and getting all the sad backstory stuff out of the way in the first quarter.... leaving most of the art to just be Nami Highlight Reel. this means so much of it was SO MUCH FUN to draw. i got excited several times jus
