This video makes use of archival footage to give an overview of his life and work. Richard Williams was a Canadian animator who did most of his work out of his studio in London. He’s best known for directing the animation in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, creating the Animator’s Survival Kit and directing The Thief and The Cobbler. The Thief and the Cobbler is a film with animation so elaborate it was in production for almost 30 years. Cuts of the film were released by various studios under different names.
