Note from Esther Friedman: “The photographs used in this video were taken during my travels to Haiti in 1982 with Iggy. In 2011 & 2013, friend and filmmaker Marcus Richardt travelled to Haiti on behalf of NGOs to document the situation there after the hurricane. Last year during lockdown going through my photographs, I contacted Marcus and asked him to help me put together a video using my photographs and his film material from Haiti, with the Horse Song music as inspiration. He came up with the idea to use animation with Jan-Niklas Meyer and brought David Rankenhohn on board as cutter. Although our images are 30 years apart, they work together to show the timeless grace & optimism of the Haitian people & as an added bonus wonderful moments with Iggy.“ vinyl: */Music/ http://www.
