Yes, acting is a noble profession. It is the opposite of shying away from who we are. It is about being able to share it on purpose, with honesty within creative choices. This is importantly needed in a society living by an authoritative facade of “positivity“. Actors can touch others’ lives, challenge received ideas and inspire others by facilitating recognition & accepting these facets that civilians have learned to hide. Actors can create beauty with all these shades: They remind us that it’s OK, we are all part of the big human family. Art is not about diverting from humanity: Art embraces and expands from the human experience and the truthful vision of artists. It’s not right, it’s not wrong: it just is. And they use “it“ Anything that denies or undermines this organic honest process, denies and undermines the human experience. It is not a profession for everybody, though everybody is able to do it. Some cannot live without expressing this unaltered “vitality“. They have (the courage) to share their vision, beyond being well received or not. Whether what they express is liked or not, is sellable or not, is package-able or not, is beside the point: They help human individuals to realise they belong, beyond society’s concepts. To save the arts, for real: Save the artists ! A sane society would ensure that they can be protected from systematic standardisation!
