Wild Camping in our Tiny Cabin! | 2 Days by the River

This is the Yellow River State Forest in Northeast Iowa! It’s in an area called the Driftless Region on the Mississippi River, characterized by tall bluffs, river valleys and beautiful streams and forests. We heard about this State Forest only a few weeks ago and didn’t believe that it could possibly be in Iowa! So we packed up the cabin and headed south for two full days and nights of adventure in the woods. We hiked through a few of the many hiking trails in the forest, walked along the banks of Painted Creek and biked through the pine and hardwood forest. We even got out for a drive into the historic town of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin - the former home of conservationist John Muir. In fact, we even visited the old building where he worked as a printer! Join us on this incredible adventure through one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited.
