She says she backs financial support for Ukraine and sanctions on Russia, with the exception of those targeting gas and oil, “which will inflict great pain on French households“. But the cordiality ends there. Macron replies by calling out his opponent and her National Rally for voting against Ukraine support measures in parliament.
