New BBC Period Drama - The Mystery of Edwin Drood

In honour of 200th anniversary of the Charles Dickens’ birth BBC releases new adaptations of the famous writer’s work, including a new two-parted version of the last and unfinished novel “The Mystery of Edwin Drood“. The story is set in the Cathedral town of Cloisterham. The main plot is about a young man Edwin Drood, his bride Rosa Bud and Drood’s uncle John Jasper, a choirmaster, who is obsessed with Rosa to the point that he wants to kill his own nephew.
