Five Florida Springs in Seven Minutes.

Here are the five Florida springs we kayaked, swam, and snorkeled on our May 2021 vacation. My wife and I love to visit Florida’s big springs. Normally, we seek out new ones that we’ve ever visited. But this year we chose to revisit some old favorites which are condensed here into a seven-minute video. Our favorite featured here is Silver Glen Springs. It had the highest clarity water and the most fish. But for wildlife we most enjoyed Alexander Spring. The kayaking excursion we took on the run included interaction with a large family of river otters. Plus a tremendous number of birds. Our least favorite spring was Wekiwa. It’s not that it’s not beautiful and filled with wildlife--it was--but it was hideously crowded, which kind of surprised us. It was a Friday, and we had hoped to beat the weekend crowds. We were wrong. We easily encountered a couple of hundred kayakers/paddleboarders on the river.
