Mississippi: A police officer was killed and another was injured after an officer-involved shooting in Summit. The Enterprise Journal reported the shooting happened in Summit on Thursday, August 8. Summit Officer Troy Floyd was killed, and McComb Officer Joey Roberts was wounded. Authorities said the suspect was also killed during the shooting. The newspaper reported the shooting happened at a Summit police checkpoint near the Piggly Wiggly on Highway 51 near Robb Street.
