Israel Prepares For Gaza Ground Invasion But Can It Fight A Stronger Hamas On Its Own Turf

Israel is massing tens of thousands of troops near the Gaza Strip for a possible ground operation following the surprise attack by Hamas. Tel Aviv has mobilised over 300,000 reserve soldiers and PM Netanyahu has told US President Joe Biden that a ground assault is necessary. If Israel indeed decides to “go in”, as Netanyahu reportedly told Biden during a call, it would be the first such incursion into Gaza since 2014. “We have deployed… our infantry, armoured soldiers, our artillery corps and many other soldiers from the reserves – 300,000 in numbers –close to the Gaza Strip, getting ready to execute the mission”, IDF Spokesperson Jonathan Conricus said, adding that “we have been given by the Israeli government. And that is to make sure that Hamas, at this end of this war, won’t have any military capabilities by which they can threaten or kill Israeli civilians.” #israel #gaza #hamasattack #idf #netanyahu #gazaunderattack #israelpalestine n18oc_world n18oc_crux 0:00 INTRODUCTION 1:21 ISRAEL’S 2014 GROUND OPERATION INTO GAZA 3:05 ISRAEL’S USE OF “LAWFARE” 4:39 CAN ISRAEL FIGHT HAMAS ON ITS OWN TURF?
