Smart table - interactive LED table - near disaster!

I’d seen these LED tables made here on YouTube and fancied trying to make one myself. Limited info required some reverse engineering and research which almost ended up in an expensive mistake. Luckily persistence paid off and I have a “smart table”….. what ever that is!
