First up is the three-headed monster, King Ghidorah! Visitors from the future (known as the Futurians) arrive in Japan with a warning... Godzilla will have destroyed the country centuries from now, but they have a plan to stop it from happening. What few know is that in 1944, a dinosaur (introduced here as a Godzillasaurus) intervened during a wartime conflict on Lagos Island and was left on the island to die. The testing of a Hydrogen Bomb on the island turned the dinosaur into Godzilla, but by traveling back to 1944, the visitors (now accompanied by present-day humans including the psychic Miki Saegusa) are able to transport the dinosaur off of the island, thereby saving the future.
