Holland Aka Land Reclaimed - Gold From Lutine (1938)

Unused / unissued material - no paperwork - dates unclear or unknown. Title reads: “Holland“. Holland / Netherlands. A boat moves out across water towards a larger vessel, possibly a dredger. Shots on vessel as gravel is brought to the surface and sorted by workmen. People come to meet men in suits who are holding a bar of something - it looks like gold. VS of people cheering as Netherlands flags are raised. N.B. Without paperwork or soundtrack it is very difficult to know what is going on here - MD. It may be the neg of 38/65 released on 15/08/1938 which is listed as being missing - the record reads as below:- Off the Dutch coast the dredger “Karimata“ is sucking up, ton by ton, the remains of the British warship “Lutine“ which sank in a storm nearly one hundred and fifty years ago with a cargo of gold.
