The Science of Schizophrenia

Often times we’re told, “well we don’t really know what schizophrenia is or what exactly is going on in the brain with this illness”. But there actually is quite a bit that we do know based off extensive research analyzing the different factors that contribute to this disorder. This video explains the science of schizophrenia and what changes in the brain are observed and cause symptoms in individuals living with schizophrenia. Of course, it is also still true that there is so much that we still don’t know about schizophrenia and our understanding of what exactly is happening in the brain is only going to continue to deepen with further research.
