Doing Women’s (Global) Horror Film History: A panel on feminist retellings of history

Wednesday 13th December 2023 What happens when we consider horror film history as a feminist archive? How do we review and reconstruct its canonical writings through its women? Such questions beat at the heart of Doing Women’s (Global) Horror Film History, the forthcoming dossier for MAI: Feminism & Visual Culture edited by Prof. Alison Peirse. The round table will feature several collaborators in order to showcase the affordances of audiovisual academic critique in reshaping film history from a feminist perspective.
